In 400 words or less, introduce a character who believes that he/she
is the last living human being, and this particular day is his/her
last day alive.

Your story should reveal or hint at what caused this situation. What
happened to the human race? Was it decimated by warfare or an
incredibly lethal disease? Had there been an alien invasion that
efficiently exterminated the entire human population? Or, taking an
Old Testament POV, did the Almighty decide to correct what the Garden
of Eden had started?

Explain why this person is the only one left alive, and why he/she
believes that the end is nigh. What will this person do in his/her
last twenty-hour hours? Use your imagination, and try to get creative
with this extreme scenario. Have fun.
