YAWrite is for all writing aimed at children and young adults: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, textbook chapters, vocabulary controlled stories, picture books, and novels; all forms of writing for children or young adults.

Note: YAWrite is open to writers 18 years old or older.

Remember to use an appropriate subject line to properly identify your post and help recipients parse their mail, for instance:

  • Subject: Sub Genre: That Story Title
  • Subject: Offer Genre : That Story Title
  • Subject: Crit: That Story Title
Because this list includes different forms of writing (for example, fiction or non-fiction), please indicate the type of writing in your submission line, for example:
  • Subject: Sub fiction: James and the Giant Peach
  • Subject: Sub picture book: Where the Wild Things Are
  • Subject: Sub non-fiction: Neptune Has Rings Too
For more information, please email the YAWrite list administrator, Gayle Surrette.
